I WANT YOU TO HAVE $15 VINTAGE DRESSES

Confession: I was once a stylish, vintage obsessed, kitschaholic, dress hoarding, hipster.

I'm so glad to get that one out. SO with that being said, as I was gutting my mess of a room the other night I was struck with a very large pile of conundrums. All of these conundrums being vintage dresses that I (a.) no longer fit into, or (b.) don't want to take the time to style. I've held on to them forever, but it's time to let them go. My first thought (after my Him stopped me from throwing them away) was to donate them, but I always wonder where they go and if anyone ever gets to enjoy them. So, instead, I bring them to you.

I know what it's like to be a fat chick who loves vintage when vintage doesn't necessarily love you. The shapes back then are different than now and it's difficult to find support, waistlines and hem lengths that fit correctly. I really want these dresses to be loved and cherished and rocked the fuck out by other curvy ladies elsewhere; they just don't belong in a bin or the garbage. So, Etsy it is. I've had wildly successful Etsy stores before... but it was exhausting. And I hated it. I don't ever want a business venture again, but I do want a way for ladies to purchase fat chick vintage on the super duper cheap. I'm marking every single dress at $15 US dollars. $11 for the time/packaging/fees and $4 for shipping, no added profits. If you live outside the US, email me through Etsy and we'll work something out on the shipping. My descriptions will only include the measurements and the pictures will be pretty basic. The dresses themselves range in price from $20-$120, sizes 12-20, and the 40's through the 80's... so its a damn fine vintage bin.

Dont' forget to tell all your other fat and fabulous friends about this too.

  1. Man, this is awesome! Vintage decided it hated me a long time ago. In fact, that's why I got into sewing: So I could make my own dresses from vintage patterns. Screw you, tiny vintage clothes!

  2. I could jump down the computer and hug you lots!! There are two vintage shops and in both the clothes are either far too small or the dresses that do fit make me look like I played dress up in my Great Grandma's wardrobe

  4. Ooh, I'm off to browse now! I often get frustrated when I go second-hand shopping. Even if I was skinny, those ladies back then were ridiculously tiny! :o)
