There are times where I might offer a recipe that is uniquely my own... but this is not that time. I just wanted to offer the greatest of recipes to you, with the knowledge that I have tried HUNDREDS of recipes all claiming to be the "best" and these are my favorites by a landslide. The four basic cakes I bake most often: Chocolate, Vanilla, Red Velvet and Carrot Cake. So here they are, the links to my tried and true interweb recommendations to save you countless hours of experimentation and ingredients. And the best thing? They're all super easy.

I'm curious about the red velvet recipe. i feel like buttermilk is so critical. what about sour cream makes it better?

ReplyDeleteMy cupcakes all keep coming out the texture of cornbread. It's been going on for months, to the point I've given up cupcakes. I never, ever had this issue for over 10 years. Any ideas?
