FUCK THIS, LET'S AD SWAP BITCHES

DUDES. I am so over paid advertising right now. I WANT YOU TO RUN YOUR AD FOR FREE ON THE MILITANT BAKER THIS MONTH!  My larges are all filled up, but getchur self a nice little medium or small ad asap. Here's whatcha do: 1.) Go here. 2.) Click medium or small. 3.) Put FUCK YEAH FREE!!! in the promo spot. 4.) Do a happy dance. In that order.

When you do this, take my button from my sidebar and stick it on your blog too:) If you need a new size, hit me up.

(ALSO, remember my favorite Sesame Street clip? Wanna see a cool remake?)

So I'm gonna get real with you guys right now. I'm in a total blogging funk. I had a friend who would tell me that creativity comes in seasons, and sometimes you just find yourself in winter... and that's okay. Well, when it comes to articulation its mothahfuckin January up in here at The Militant Baker. It's not like a "lifestyle" blogging funk where I just don't feel like I have anything to share about me but its like a " I have important things to say but I'm stretched so thin that I cant compose my thoughts enough to write something decent and the worst thing in the world for me is putting bullshit out into the universe" kinda funk. Y'feel me? It will pass soon, and you'll probably just see a hell of a lot more pictures from me... but that's not a bad thing right?

Will you do me a favor? Is there any subject or topic that you've wanted me to touch on? Do you have any questions for me personal or otherwise? Do you have any itching burning topics that you just want SOMEONE to tackle? Is there something  you want to see here on TMB that you haven't seen yet? Perhaps I'm in need of some prompts... lets make this your chance to tell me what to talk about. So leave your questions/suggestions/topics/ideas/anything at all below mmmmkay? You can also email me here.

Whatchu got for me?

  1. Hey Jes. I know how you feel about that blogging funk. It sucks, but I know we'll both get out of it. =D

    Enjoy your day!

  2. You're awesome. You're already lookin' fly on my sidebar :)

I totally feel you on the blogging funk. For some reason the fall season always inspires me to write a little more, but come January I'm going to have the, uh, January feeling you speak of. I think it kicks me in my ass every 3-4 months. You'll snap out of it, I mostly just want to see more of your amazing body image photos, I am in love with that project.

  3. I have been feeling funky about blogging for a while. By now, I've come to terms with just doing it when it feels like it comes easy to me. Sometimes it is hard to combine it with real life going-ons.

I agree with Ginger Mandy, I'd love to see more photography.

  4. I already have you in my side bar! <3 I went to do the whole medium add thing using your link above, but I'm having issues with Passionfruit? I don't get it, should I should at it? I think I should probably at the very least give it a stern look.

I've had some funks lately too. When my relationship broke up I didn't feel comfortable blogging over on notes of a dead professor any more, so I switched to morgue in black, but then my new blog didn't feel genuine... I sat and pondered, then spent all day the other day hand painting elements for my latest blog (Alligator-Eyes), and now I'm feeling much more creative. It took giving myself a wee project, and dedicating my time to it, to kick start things. Stuck my phone on "do not disturb" ignored all emails coming in, and took "me" time. But we all know that isn't always practical. I hope you're able to grab some soon *hugs*

What do I want to hear you talk about? YOUR HAIR, PLEASE. I've been bright colours most of my teenage and adult life, and I always enjoy hearing about other bright-haired people's stories. Though, I've totally quit now as I'm sick of staining everything I come into contact with ;) Trials and tribulations!

  6. my favorite thing to do when in a slump is collage... i find that it lets me "escape" my thoughts, but at the same time im able to kind of organize & catalog them... maybe because im not thinking about them directly? or because ive opened mind to something else?

i agree with another comment, i usually resort to photo blogging... gives me a new perpective.

  7. Hola Jes! Gurl I am in the same Funk Boat as you! I just wrote a post attributing it to my PTSD. I've read your in mental health...what are your thoughts on coping with PTSD? Also, something that was keeping me busy at least once a week was you 25 Things List Link-up...how's that going?

We'll get through this....I'll get through this...

  8. I tell you what I would find really interesting from you. Your thoughts on sexual women ie: Women who are happy to have no-strings sex and flings. I reckon you'd have an interesting perspective on it.
