SAN DIEGO: SCENIC STYLE

I'm back from California and I'm sunburned, exhausted, and happier than ever. It was a wonderful chance to be with my family, enjoy the ocean (Arizonans find water fascinating), visit theme parks, sleep in, and take life changing solo walks with coffee on the boardwalk. It wasn't a perfect trip (teenage sisters full of drama and 10 hours in the sun maxes my patience) but it may as well have been. I chose my favorite images to catch the magic I soaked in. Tacky tourist photos to come later.

See? Magic.

  1. Definitely magical shots! Love the three seals! And the one with the girl doing your hair (assuming one of your teenage sisters) captured a tender moment in my eyes. Great pics! And welcome back! Tootles! ~SimplyyMayra

    1. Oh my god, that sea lion was my favorite. He was trying so hard to get people to throw fish to him, and every time a person would try the other obnoxious sea lions would jump in front and steal it. He resorted to doing the sweetest tricks (he would even try splashing and waving)but no luck:( He was the under-seal and i loved him.

  5. Very pretty. :-) I went to San Diego last July for Comic Con with my boyfriend. My favorite part was probably the weather, just so gorgeous. We did the zoo and SeaWorld too!

    1. I totally have pills tattooed on my feet! Prozac and Lamictal to be exact! Nice eye... everyone always wonders what they are:) And GOD now I know why you moved to San Diego.I've been there before but I don't know if I've ever enjoyed as much as I did this time... maybe things do grow sweeter with age...

  7. Such gorgeous photos! I really enjoyed them. I adore the sea lion, but because of my dog, every time I see I sea lion I just think they look like sea dogs. When my puppy is excited he puts his ears back and looks like a sea lion. I've been trying to get a shot but y'know, excited = moving all over the shop.
Just saw the above comment about the pills on your feet? Why'd you get them, and why those exact pills? If you don't mind my asking! I'd totally understand if it was too intrusive.

    1. I have kind of a "why the fuck not?" attitude (maybe more often than I should) and so when others get stars and flowers and butterflies on their feet... I get meds. I chose those specific ones because they are the ones I've come to love as they are the prescriptions that changed my life with a brain disease! I love them so:)

AND totally not intrusive! I'm transparent and I LOVE it.

    2. Yay same as me! I'm an open book and I like to be that way. Some say it's silly, and that showing yourself as a whole and vulnerable human being is naive, but I personally feel it's a healthier way to be.
I'm also a member of the Prozac club, isn't it the best? It's completely changed my life and I honestly have no idea where I'd be without it today. Amaaaazing medication.
