YA BOOK REVEAL | THE (OTHER) F WORD: A CELEBRATION OF THE FAT & FIERCE

Do have any idea how often I hear "Man, I wish there was a book about body image and fatness just for teens!"?

Between you all and the looping narrative in my own head, it's very, very often.

WELL, YOUR WISH HAS BEEN GRANTED, MY FRIENDS!

The wonderful Angie Manfredi has worked her ass off to compile and edit exactly what we've all been dreaming of. And while it may not have been available for US while were teens and struggling to figure out what the hell to do about our self-esteem and body image woes... it is now about to exist in the world for all the current young adults and teens who can hold this priceless book in their hands soon.

From Pique (an Abrams Books community for YA readers, ):

Loaded with personal essays, prose, poetry, fashion tips, and art, the visual celebration of fat bodies is set to not only offer fat readers a guidebook to becoming their best, most confident selves, but also offer those of all sizes a road map for reconceiving our notions of beauty and acceptance.

The list of the thirty (yep, THIRTY) contributors is staggeringly impressive and I'm so fucking stoked to be in such phenomenal company.

Already down with the book’s message and purpose? Wait until you see the diverse list of voices editor Angie Manfredi called in to lend their talents to the project. From renowned fat YA and middle-grade authors, to fat influencers and creatives, these are the beautiful people who will be helping all of us navigate our world with confidence and courage this fall.

Wanna know who's been a part of this collaboration? Well, take a gander below!

The (Other) F Word is beautifully illustrated, available for preorder (alternative options aside from Amazon orders can be found here) and will be available September 24, 2019.
