That time when you email this author and you're like: Hey you're really awesome and your book looks fucking incredible so... yeah and then they reply back OMG I'm a huge fan and you're such an inspiration and HEY wanna giveaway something cool on your blog just because?

Life can be good folks. All the way around.

Julie Murphy is the author of an already muchly talked about YA novel called Dumplin' that is set to be published on September 15th of this year. It's totally possible that I read somewhere that a company (*cough* Disney) already bought movie rights. HOT DAMN.

From teh web:

Dubbed “Dumplin’” by her former beauty queen mom, Willowdean has always been at home in her own skin. Her thoughts on having the ultimate bikini body? Put a bikini on your body. With her all-American-beauty best friend, Ellen, by her side, things have always worked . . .  until Will takes a job at Harpy’s, the local fast-food joint. There she meets Private School Bo, a hot former jock. Will isn’t surprised to find herself attracted to Bo. But she is surprised when he seems to like her back.

Instead of finding new heights of self-assurance in her relationship with Bo, Will starts to doubt herself. So she sets out to take back her confidence by doing the most horrifying thing she can imagine: entering the Miss Teen Blue Bonnet Pageant—along with several other unlikely candidates—to show the world that she deserves to be up there as much as any twiggy girl does. Along the way, she’ll shock the hell out of Clover City—and maybe herself most of all.
Haven't read it myself, but I'm gonna the day it arrives in my mailbox. And maybe it's a possible book club selection in our future? We'll see! (Pssst we're reading Dietland this month and you still have time to join in!)

Giveaways happen when someone contacts me and says: I wanna buy a specific spot on your blog (though in this case, the exchange was only one of love) so I can give free awesome shit to your readers. To which I say: does it involve heavy metal music, sunscreen, or goat cheese? (I hate those things) and when they come back and say NO, actually it's really awesome you'll definitely like it!,  I'll investigate and then say... OKAY! Let's do this.

Things to know: I always ask that there is a chance for everyone to enter at least once without having to "like" or "follow" anything. This giveaway is just that- enter your email in the comment section below and Rafflecopter will choose a random winner on Tuesday the 25th!

AND, of course, if you think giveaways are bullshit, you're allowed to skip everything all together and just come back for my next post. You're a grown ass adult and you get to make your own decisions, mmkay?

Julie wants you to have one of the Advance Reader Boxes which has all the things pictured above- most notably A COPY OF THE NOT YET AVAILABLE BOOK JUST FOR YOU.

Enter away! Giveaways will run for one week three days and Julie's publicist will contact you if you're the lucky bitch that fate (kfine, Rafflecopter) chooses!
