1) What is The Body Love Conference, where is it, and when will it be happening?
The Body Love Conference is an international body positivity conference phenomenon happening in Tucson, AZ on April 5th, 2014.
2) Who is The Body Love Conference for?
The Body Love Conference is for any woman who:
            a) Has a body.
            b) Is tired of being asked to shape up, slim down, camouflage or otherwise alter
and apologize for their body, in order to live up to unrealistic and deeply
harmful representations of the body in contemporary media culture.
            c) Believes that it's time to celebrate beauty in all its forms - including our bodies.
3) What is the mission of The Body Love Conference?
The mission of The Body Love Conference is to empower women to change their world,
            not their body.
4) Why change the world?
As women we are exposed to a shockingly high number of negative body messages every day. While this tactic earns the weight loss industry billions of dollars every year, their success comes at an extremely high cost, with the use of body-negative advertising contributing to increased depression, eating disorders, low self-esteem, poor relationship skills, suicide attempts, and more. By changing the way we think, talk, and feel about our bodies, we can overcome these challenges and create a more body-positive and loving world.
5) What is "Body Positivity?"
Body Positivity is the practice of consciously embracing every body's shape, size, age, ability, ethnicity, and sex, in order to celebrate and recognize the body's intrinsic beauty and inalienable right to exist as they are without apology.
6) Who will be presenting at The Body Love Conference?
Featured presenters include Tess Munster of EffYourBeautyStandardsWorld Famous *BOB*, Chrystal Bougon of Curvy Girl Inc and Bliss Connection, Jade Beall of A Beautiful Body Project, Jen McLellen of Plus-Size Mommy Memoirs, Louise Green of Body Exchange CA, and Jes Baker of The Militant Baker.
